72 Salute Salmonella In Wrapping, Health Agency says

Seven-two people have fallen ill after eating salute, who have been withdrawn due to possible salmonella contamination.

Canada’s Public Health Agency issued an updated notice on the outbreak of Salmonella infections associated with Rea Brand Jenoa Salute Sweet, Ri Brand Jenoa Salute Hot and Bona Brand Mild Jenova salute.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency recalled products on 10 June in Ontario, Alberta and Manitoba.

At that time, 57 diseases were reported, 44 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario and no one in Manitoba.

On Tuesday, the Public Health Agency reported additional cases, bringing Alberta’s transition to 57, Ontario 14 and Manitoba in one.

Seven people have been admitted to the hospital since the recall was released.

The federal health agency said that most people fell ill in the middle of April and mid -June after eating salutes in the prepared sandwich or purchased from daily counters.

They recommend checking for the following product code: 5035 226, 5049 226, 5020 228, 5035 228 and 5035 226.

Salmonella is a food-borne bacteria disease that can spread several days or weeks after a person is infected, even if they do not have symptoms.

This can be serious and potentially fatal infections especially for children, pregnant people, elderly and people with weak immune systems.

Healthy people may experience short -term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, cramps and diarrhea.
