Ludhiana: Police arrested a man who stole 12 diamond and gold rings from the shop of his employer, a jeweller. The rings cost about Rs 12 lakh, said the police. A case was filed on the complaint of Sham Sunder Verma, a resident of Sarabha Nagar, against his employee, Vinay Kumar Chauhan, a resident of Ali Mohalla, Jalandhar. tnn

Following the fatal shooting of Vikram Gowda by the ANF, members of the Malekudiya community rallied at the Hebri police station, protesting against the questioning of Jayanth Gowda, the owner of the house where the incident occurred. The community, led by Shridhar Gowda Idu, defended Jayanth, asserting his innocence and lack of involvement with the deceased.
