Ariana Grande recently starred in the musical fantasy flick ‘Wicked’ which is getting good responses from the audiences. Now the movie is also doing good business in India.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Wicked’ has collected Rs 1.46 crores from India in 6 days, and on day 6, the movie minted Rs 12 lakhs, as per the website’s early estimates.

Looking at the Indian box office figures, we can see an upward trend. ‘Wicked’ opened on a mere Rs 20 lakhs at the box office which was followed by Rs 40 lakhs, Rs 45 lakhs, Rs 12 lakhs, and Rs 17 lakhs on days 2,3,4, and 5 respectively.
‘Wicked’ had an overall 9.13 percent English occupancy rate on Wednesday, November 27 with morning shows at 5.78 percent, afternoon shows at 10.76 percent, evening shows at 9.43 percent, and night shows at 10.53 percent.
Directed by ‘Crazy Rich Asian’s fame Jon M Chu, ‘Wicked’ is getting good reviews from the audiences. The script is penned by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox and the movie stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Ethan Slater in pivotal lead roles.
‘Wicked’ is based on the 1995 novel named ‘Wicked : The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West’ which in turn is based on the most popular ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz ‘and its sequels.
‘Wicked’ marks the first installment of a two-part film adaptation of the stage musical by the same name. The recently released ‘Wicked’ covers the musical’s first act.
