4-time Olympic medalist Adam Wan Koawarden to supervise the sport in PM Cupboard of PM Cupboard

Canadian Kayak veteran Adam Van Koivarden, who was recently elected as a member of Parliament for the third term, was nominated for the game on Tuesday in Prime Minister Mark Carney’s new cabinet.

A Toronto native, raised in nearby Okville, Onts, 43 -year -old Van Koiwarden was sworn in with 28 ministers and nine other secretaries of the state at the Redu Hall in Ottawa.

The van Koaverden was first selected for the House of Commons in 2019 and was re-elected on 28 April by 5,983 votes at Burlington North-Milton West Riding (East Milton).

The Van Koevarden is a four -time medalist at the Summer Games at Sprint Kashti, winning gold and bronze at his first Olympics in 2004, and with a silver medal in 2012 in 2008 and Beijing in London. He ended his competitive career after the Rio Olympics in 2016.

2022 Canada Sports Hall of Fame Indicty also won two World Championship titles and eight medals. The Van was the closing ceremony at the Koivarden Athens and the flag-wide of Canada twice at the opening ceremony in Beijing.

The Federal Sports Portfolio has occurred several recurrents over the years, often combined with other responsibilities. Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was a separate sports minister in his cabinets from 2015 to 2024, but Carney ended the role in his first cabinet nominated in March before the election.

Van Koivarden and other secretary of the state-a long-finished designation Carney has been reviving-a more junior role, which has been included in full cabinet responsibilities.
