Premier Tim Houston said that he will cover the cost of air conditioner during the election campaign

On income aid, a Nova Scotia woman who managed to force the province to pay for her air conditioner, says that she is sad that other low income people will not get the same relief.
In the last October, Julie Leagate from New Glasgow, NS won an appeal to get provincial funding for air conditioners due to an old health condition.

Progressive conservative leader Tim Houston, whose party won the election, said on the campaign mark that he would look into the air conditioner to add the air conditioner to the list of special requirements covered by the social support program.
But a spokesperson of the Social Development Department said on Tuesday that the government is not planning to change the policy.
