BC billionaire hosted the job fair in Toronto amidst the bid for Hudson’s bail

The billionaire of a British Columbia demanded an acquisition of Bay Pattas of dozens of Hudson, who organizes a job fair in Toronto later this week to draw people to work on properties – despite not leasing retail places in the city yet.

Ruby Liu signed deals with Hudson’s Gulf in May and belonged to a defective retailer and her sister banner Sachs to buy 28 leases in Canada. So far, only three leases have been transferred.

Liu hosted the job fair at the Intercontinental Hotel on Saturday, attracted workers, vendors and former Hadson employees, who were expected and uncertain about the future of the store.

“If she pulls it, she would be a Canadian hero,” Sandy Queton said, who worked in the Gulf of Hudson for 27 years.

“We hope that she can get the leases. She is still fighting in court, so we do not really know whether we have a job or not.”

After receiving the approval of the court, three places in BC were shifted to Liu last month. The Bay has not yet been searched for assurance for more than 25 in properties organized by other landlords that are strongly opposed to Liu because they say they are yet to provide detailed business plans.

One Ontario Judge postponed court hearing last Tuesday Hudson’s bay creditor demanded the abolition of Liu’s procurement agreement. The judge urged Liu, who is now participating with two law firms, to hire a lawyer and represent his plans to buy leases.

Speaking through his CEO and translator, Linda Qin, Liu expressed optimism about the result of the hearing.

“He is very confident that we are going to get the store,” Qin said on Saturday. “We want to prepare for the inauguration of the store.”

“It is very clear that Ruby Liu is a worthy bidding.”

Plan face pushbacks

A Toronto lawyer said that various bay creditors are still uncertain if it is in the best interest of their financial situation.

Sherina Hussain, a lawyer and lawyer and founder and founder of academic cooperation consulting, said, “It is disagreeing about whether the information provided so far provides sufficient comfort or not, as it is in the best interest of different creditors groups.”

“In many cases, they want to fix the st on the dollar.”

Liu has given a budget of $ 84 million to replace the former bay spaces, buying food and entertainment at the Asian -style department store, offering food and entertainment. He is planning to use properties to open a department store in his own name.

BC billionaire Ruby Liu is expecting 28 former Hudson’s bay retail space leases to expand his mall empire. She joined the Gloria Macranco of CBC with a translator to share her vision for the department store, in her first interview with the English language media in Canada.

On Saturday, a seller who attended Liu’s fair said that he believes in his vision and this change is needed to Canada.

CEO J Lim, CEO of Car-beauty Canada, said, “She really came here to invest her money and revive retail businesses, which is a positive thing for the Canadian industry.”

But retail expert Jim Danahi said that this could be a challenge for Liu.

“These are large square boxes without windows and are not easily redeveloped,” said Danahi, who is the CEO of the customer. “He has some experience of renting retail, not the retail place.”

Many landlords also said in the court that they feel that Liu does not have suppliers, financing or retail management experiences to run a department store.

There is no word yet when the matter will return to court, but Liu says she expects to capture the remaining assets by August.
