Health officials in York region have warned of a confirmation of measles case on the Air Canada flight at Piercen International Airport in Toronto last month.
York Region Public Health says that the case of confirmation was on Air Canada Flight AC 8881, departing from Newarark, New Jersey and Landing in Toronto on 30 July.
Officials said that any person who used to fly from Newark around 5 pm and which was on the person’s terminal 1 that evening between 7:30 and 11 pm, could be exposed to measles.

Health officials in Ontario say recent data suggests that the number of new measles cases is below for the first time since January. Since the outbreak started in October, Ontario has reported over 2,300 infections.
Measles is one of the most infectious diseases in the world. Officials say symptoms may include fever, cough, nose and water eyes – and may begin seven to 21 days after the exposure. A few days after the first symptoms, a red rash may appear a few days after starting in the head and neck and spreading down.
