Air India Pilot’s Tragic Death: Partner Arrested for Abetment of Suicide | Mumbai News

Pilot dies by suicide, her partner held for abetment

Mumbai: Powai police have arrested the partner of a 25-year-old Air India pilot, who was discovered dead in her rented Andheri (East) residence on Monday, for allegedly abetting her suicide. The pilot, Srishti Tuli, was found suspended from a data cable at her residence.
Her family has accused her partner, Aditya Pandit (27), of ill-treatment and driving her to self-harm. Pandit has been sent to police custody till Nov 29. A police officer said they did not find any suicide note in her flat.
Tuli and Pandit got into a relationship when training together to be pilots in Delhi. “While Tuli got a job, Pandit did not. She moved to Mumbai in 2023. Pandit visited her and had lived in her flat for nearly a week before the incident,” said a police officer.
Pandit left for Delhi by car around 1am on Monday but returned after Tuli made a “distress call”. Unable to access her locked flat, he contacted her friend Urvi Panchal. They got a locksmith to open it and found Srishti. She was rushed to Seven Hills Hospital, where she was declared dead.
