The sun is out and flowers are blooming because Canadians are once again emerging in a beautiful spring and summer season. But as people shed their winter layers, our blood-sucking neemis-mosquitoes are emerging in hot weather.

Mosquitoes may always have a beginning at the beginning of mosquitoes, but their intensity will depend on rain, according to mosquito experts.

Antomologist and Assistant Professor Rosalind Murray at the University of Toronto said, “One thing that is a good prophet how bad the mosquito season will be, how wet it is, because mosquitoes have breed in stable water.”

Murray said that last year, Ontario saw a thick mosquito season due to relatively light winter and spring. Female mosquitoes usually hide overwinter – or in the months of cold winter – and then the weather is hot as the weather is hot. The weather of Murray meant that they were out of full force, Murray said.

This year, a chillar can keep the early spring mosquitoes low, but in areas with rain and high temperatures, leading to a strong start for mosquitoes. Environment Canada Seasonal forecast For May to July, Alberta suggests normal to be normal in parts of BC and meanwhile, most people of the country may be above normal in the next three months according to the federal agency.

Erykin Canada’s entomologist Ellis Sinia said, “If we really have above normal temperature and we have too much rainfall and all the snow together, which was late winter, the soil is still a little saturated.”

“So we are going to too much soil and we are going around the pound of much more stable water or water.”

Beware of standing water

It is an important breeding ground for mosquitoes, especially in cities. And this is a problem for those that they have such a problem.

“One thing that is really difficult about mosquitoes is that they actually breed into gross water,” said Murray.

“They do not have gills, so they achieve their oxygen even when they are in their aquatic life stages from the air. And because of this, they are able to breed into very disgusting, oxygen deprived water.”

But even without excess water, some mosquitoes could still thrive. John Sogigian, assistant professor at Perspectology at the University of Calgary, says that there are about 80 species of mosquitoes in Canada, and some have also adapted for drought -like conditions.

He said, “Mosquitoes live through many types of rains or dry seasons, and they still find ways to stay out and bite us,” he said.

Sinia also reported that mosquitoes can thrive in various environment, under small flower utensils and other items that can catch water.

“So this means that even within the city, even if you do not have these big ponds and stable water, you can still do mosquito activity.”

Experts recommended the abolition of stable water sources on the properties of people to keep mosquitoes in the Gulf. For those who go out, they recommend bug spray, especially for external activities such as hiking. Health is a list of Canada Sanctioned individual insect repellents,

Toronto Public Health said that this catch will start spraying the catch basin and stable water sites where the mosquito larvae have been identified in early June, as it is when the risk of the West Nile virus usually begins.
