Ludhiana: Ahead of the upcoming MC polls, a district-level meeting was held at the BJP office on Wednesday with all mandal presidents and in-charges present. Mandal presidents were instructed to assess the ground situation before selecting candidates.
BJP district president Rajnesh Dhiman said: “We are ready to give a tough fight to opponents. A survey will be conducted to evaluate the strength of ticket seekers before announcing candidates.”
He said the party aims to win the maximum number of seats and needs to make appropriate arrangements. He said the candidate selection process will begin shortly. Notably, the BJP aspires to make history by winning 70 wards and electing its mayor in the MC house.
