Cattyine Braun will have to be sentenced after being pregnant in Hamilton these days, dishonest dollas
A judge from Hamilton is expected to punish the Cattyin Braun today for conception and is receiving Daula Care on two occasions during the arrest in the house for similar crimes.
The 26-year-old Braun blamed two cases of $ 5,000 and two harassment-related allegations in two cases of receiving false show services.
“This is a long -running pattern for Ms. Braun,” a assistant Crown Attorney Simon McNoton told the court in January.
He and Braun’s rescue have requested Justice Joe Foreuki sentence to three years in jail. The courts will also hear from the victims how Braun’s crimes have affected them.
Braun first convicted 21 separate allegations, including fraud, indecent acts, false hypocrisy and mischief, after pretending to experience pregnancy and stiliation between June 2022 and February 2023.
She was sentenced to two -year -old house arrest, as requested by both Defense and Crown, and despite a judge’s concern she would work again.
McNotton said in January that Braun was serving the arrest of the house in April 2024 when she contacted an organization in Hamilton, who supports the parents in crisis.
‘Criminals lack insight’
Braun gave a fake name and claimed to be 19 weeks pregnant, that her child was not going to make it a full tenure and needed support. A social worker volunteer came into contact and spoke on the phone for 18 hours in two days before the volunteer did not make Braun pregnant.
A week later, Braun approached a Daula on the lesson. She again gave a false name and claimed that she was 21 weeks pregnant, experiencing the loss of pregnancy and her partner had left her after finding out, said McNotton. In the next three days, Braun and Daula exchanged more than 600 texts until Doula called the hospital and discovered Bron.
The information collected about Braun “makes it clear that the criminal’s behavior and inspiration lacks insight and seem to be fascinated by pregnancy and childbirth from a young age,” McNotton said. “There seems to be a sexual dimension for these crimes.”
On appearing in a court in January, when Braun convicted, his lawyer, Ellison McDonald said Braun wanted to wrap the court proceedings that day.
But Fioruchi described the proposed sentence as “quite important”, and said that they need more time to review the materials.
