
DHL Express makes temporary agreement with Canada Union
The delivery company DHL Express Canada has reached a temporary agreement with its union, paving the way for the company to resume operations.
The deal comes after about a year of conversation. The details of the agreement will not be disclosed until a perfect support is not expected, which is expected in the coming days.
DHL Express Canada Workers closed on 8 June And as last Friday, temporarily stopped its operation. The company says that “the service expects to lift the suspension with immediate effect after the deal is done”.
The Uniphore company represents over 2,100 truck drivers, courier and warehouse and clerical workers.
The company and its union have attacked the use of replacement workers as the federal law that banned the practice during the work stagnation has implemented.
Jobs Minister Patty Hazdu said she met both sides last week when DHL asked to intervene in the deadlock to force the last week to be forced to resume.
