The Ebola outbreak in Congo shows signs of control, the United Nations health agency said Wednesday, with no new confirmed or probable cases since the World Health Organization’s last update on Oct. 1.

As of Sunday, a total of 64 cases, including 11 probable cases and 43 deaths, had been reported in Congo’s Kasai province, WHO said. The total number of deaths includes 11 probable deaths.

As of Sunday, ten days had passed, the agency said, “with no new cases reported, indicating possible control of transmission in affected areas.”
