Mumbai: A 40-year-old man was arrested by the Borivli police after his two minor daughters complained that he sexually abused them. The girls, now 9 and 10 years old, reported that the incident occurred five years ago. Upon receiving the complaint, the police took the accused into custody from his residence and charged him with stringent provisions under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. According to the police, the accused and his wife are separated and have been going through a dispute. The couple’s daughters live with their mother. Their mother informed the police that when she confronted her husband about the sexual abuse, she was assaulted. Police are conducting further investigations.
