Health Canada remembers more than 104,000 toaster ovens due to burnt risk

Health Canada has issued a recall notice for 104,195 Toster Owen in Canada due to a burnt threat.

Till 22 September, the brand had not received any reports of injuries or incidents in Canada

Health Canada has issued a recall notice for 104,195 Toster Owen in Canada due to a burnt threat.

Agency Told consumers To use the Oster’s French Door Toster countertop oven immediately, warning that the French doors of the product may be unexpectedly closed and the risk of burning the users.

The recall model number affects tssttvfdxl, tssttvfddds, tssttvfdxlpp-033 and TSSTTVFDDAF-033. The model number can be found according to the recall, behind the oven and on the original packaging.

As of 22 September, the company received no reports of injuries or incidents in Canada, but it received 95 reports in the US, where more than 1.2 million were sold from these Toster Owen.

Health Canada directed consumers to contact Sunbeam Products Inc. to arrange a free repair kit, which comes with installation instructions. The affected products were sold between January 2015 and July 2025.
