Ludhiana: A Gujarati garment trader, established recently in this city, has reportedly been kidnapped by his business partner over a money dispute. The abduction was carried out in broad daylight at Janakpuri market on Thursday, and police raced to track down the suspects.
A group of men forced Patel into a car and fled. Traders assistant Jagdeep managed to escape and identify Patel’s business partner, Rajender, as the prime suspect. The partners had been sharing a paying-guest accommodation here for the past six months before a recent altercation over finances forced Rajender to move out.
