Labor controversy as Canada Post rejected the arbitration request of the union

The Canada Post has rejected a request to send its ongoing labor dispute with the Sangh to send its ongoing labor dispute for binding arbitration.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers requested in a statement on Saturday, saying that he was inviting the Canada Post into a fair, final and binding arbitration process, which is to solve dialogues that drag for months without producing a new collective agreement.

The corporation on Wednesday called the union its “final proposal”, including the end of compulsory overtime and a signature bonus of up to $ 1,000. But it was stuck for a proposal for 14 percent cumulative wage hike in four years and a major glued point in the conversation, using part -time employees in the weekend shift.

The statement said, “This refusal still forms another performance that (Canada Post) is not interested in the appropriate results for this round of conversation. A forced vote may fail to eliminate labor conflict and put forward further division, increase uncertainty for all parties.”

The union has been in a legal strike till May 23, but so far it has been opted to ban members from overtime working.
