Ludhiana: Dakha police has arrested three drug peddlers after it recovered 6760 intoxicating capsules from their possession. The accused were identified as Jaideep Kumar of Sarabha Nagar, Amandeep Kumar of Labour Colony and Vikas Jha of Ramesh Nagar, Tibba road, all in Ludhiana.
Giving details, DSP Dakha Varinder Singh Khosa said that Dakha police had set up a check post to check suspicious persons and vehicles. He added that during checking, SHO Dakha Police Station Gurwinder Singh along with ASI Tarsem Singh recovered 260 capsules of the banned intoxicant capsule from Jaideep and registered a case against him at the Dakha Police Station.
Police official said that during interrogation, Jaideep took the name of another accused Amandeep that he got the intoxicant capsules from him. He added that after that, Amandeep was arrested in the case and police recovered 3500 narcotic capsules from his possession.
Cops said that during questioning of the Amandeep, he revealed the name of another accused, who was identified as Vikas Jha. They added that after interrogating the accused Vikas, on his disclosure, police recovered 3000 more intoxicant capsules.
