On August 23, Made from Chennai, as a part of Madras Munchas, was hosted in Sri Akshayam, Valachary. Food Consultant, cured by Shabnam Kamil, was filled with indifference to the evening participants, who were chosen from the Hindu readers.

In the event, the classic Chennai tiffin was also a special showcase of snacks. One of the highlights was Delhi Appleum, a huge spherical snack, which was fried in oil on a live counter. Generally sold in the exhibition ground, it developed childhood memories for almost every participant. It was closely followed by Muruku Sandwich, originating from the soccerpet, where the bread slices are replaced with Muruku and are filled with mint chutney, onion and cucumber slices.

Apart from this, the menu had veg puffs, onion samosas, patinum pakodas, butter biscuits, rose milk, marina Sundal, Mango ice cream from Kunhiraman, Gopol Bun Butter Bun Ban-Batter-Jam and filter coffee.

Simran of Daily Daily presented his rasam phochisia, a fusion of Italian Fokasia with Tamil Nadu Rasam Podi, and topped the dish with curry leaves.

Rajesh said, “Celebrate Chennai, as its multicultural nature we are reflected in these snacks.
