Manoj Jarange Demands Maratha Reservation from Mahayuti Government | Mumbai News

Jarange: 204 MLAs Marathas, now Mahayuti must give quota

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Quota activist Manoj Jarange on Sunday asserted that Mahayuti govt owes its assembly poll victory to the Maratha community.
He dismissed claims that the Maratha factor or his activism failed to influence the election, maintaining that no govt could be formed without the community’s support. He added that soon after formation of the new govt, a decision on a mass hunger strike by the community will be announced.
“Mahayuti must deliver on Maratha reservation now as they are back in power.I left it to the Marathas to decide whom to vote for, and I wasn’t concerned about the electoral outcome. But make no mistake, Marathas played a decisive role in electing them to power. Anyone suggesting otherwise lacks an understanding of the Maratha and Jarange factor,” he told reporters in Antarwali Sarati village.
He emphasised that the Marathas’ strength has grown, with 204 MLAs now representing the community, compared to 150 earlier.
Responding to questions about the community’s support for BJP, Jarange clarified that his focus is on Marathas’ demands rather than political affiliations.
