The countdown is on, as Nordspace Hope to launch your rocket from NL

A company expecting a Canadian’s first commercial rocket launch is set for takeoff at South Coast, Newfoundland.

Nordspace is making a new attempt to launch its single-engine rocket, Taiga at St. Lawrence. It is a six meter long rocket made using a 3D-crushed metal.

In a statement on Monday evening, the company said it would return to the site the next day “for a high probability launch day”.

“The launch crew will maintain rockets and ground support equipment in the launch-Redi State overnight, with the first launch window open on 06:30 NDT,” it said.

It said that the launch can occur at any time during two windows, which can be from 6:30 to noon, and from 3 pm to 7 pm.

Nordspace attempted several launch at the end of August, and was 58 seconds away from the takeoff when an ignition issue took place and the mission was scrubbed.
