Top Canadian top doctor Theresa Tam is leaving the role in late 20 June

Chief Public Health Officer of Canada, Dr. Theresa Tam is leaving her position later next week.

TAM has been in role since June 2017, but has become a domestic name in the last five years as it led the country’s public health response to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Tam states that his term ends on June 20, and he does not have another job.

She is taking a break to think about new opportunities, spending more time with family and coming back in some of her passion, including playing music and long distance races.

A pediatrics infectious by training, Tam, joined the public health team of the federal government around measles time in 1998.

She says that it is related to looking back at the virus, but believes that Canada may once again stop domestic transmission through vaccination.

Tam says that this is an important time for Canada to stand for science and disintegration.

She says the Covid-19 epidemic showed that Canada could mount a reaction that differed from the American approach, and to save life in the process.
