This Grizzly followed a Calgary couple with a popular scar until they at the end roar at it
Howard Mah and Lori Arnson had never seen wild greezley till Saturday.
And if they ever look back again, they will be sure to carry the bear spray next time.
The Calgary couple set up for a small increase for troll falls in Kananskis country, Alberta, to celebrate their wedding anniversary on 19 July – one would not forget them soon.
He hoped that the mark would be busy, as often happened, but was pleasantly surprised, first, to find out that they had too much.
The solitude suddenly became scary, however, Mah sent Aransan forward to the mark so that he could take a picture of him.
The griezali bear chased Howard Mah and Lori Arnson on July 19 with the troll Falls Trail in the country of Kananskis, Alberta, until the couple roared at the end and the animal fled.
“And as I was moving forward, he said, ‘Oh, lullaby, no, stop,” he remembered.
The month had seen a serious bear descending through a clearing towards the trail, behind his wife.
“And then as soon as the bear went down and hit the footpath, I was hoping that he would just continue,” he said.
“But he came to the footpath instead, looked at us and then started walking towards us.”

The frightened couple tried their best to remain calm.
“We didn’t know that it’s not running,” said Maha. “And so we have just started backup … and then, because I was taking pictures of Lori, I just had my phone in my hand, so I quickly turned it into a video.”
He captured more than a minute of beer videos, as they retreated.
At one point in the footage, the bear rises on his feet, waves the snorts and the claws in its front in the air as it briefly faster the couple before starting its ploding speed.
A Calgary couple made a fear of a lifetime after facing a grust bear to increase the troll falls traile in Kannaskis. The pair say that they tried to intimidate it, but it dominated them. Despite his fear, he managed to get a terrible encounter on the tape.
Mah said that the animal took a “aggressive step” a few times during the encounter.
“To be honest, my life really shone in front of me,” he said how it felt, in the moment.
They estimate that the bear came within about 15 meters of them as they kept walking backwards, wondering if it would stop following them anytime.
“When he didn’t look like he was about to give up, when I thought,” Okay, I heard to make myself big, “said Maha. “So I put both my hands, made myself as big as possible, and used to roar until I could.”
“And so when Howard did so, I was standing near Howard and did the same thing,” Arnson said. “And did it work!”
The bear, he said, finally went out of the footpath and left him alone.
He decided to cancel the rest of his hikes for troll falls, instead immediately returned to the parking lot.
One of many recent encounters
The couple warned others that they would hikers about Grizzly in the parking lot, and then immediately reported the encounter to Alberta Parks and provided the protection officers with the video.
Alberta Parks released one Warning for troll fallsCiting “Grizzly Bear Bluff Charge”.
It is one of the many similar events in recent weeks.
On July 8, a grievance warning for the Bill Milne Trail was also issued due to the bluff charge.
And the popular Rawson Lake and Sarel Ridge routes were closed on July 11, when a group bear with cubs accused a group of hikers.
Bluff charge usually occurs when a bear is threatened or caught by surprise, safety specialist Kim Tincture is tolerated Told CBC News After those incidents.
“If you are not noisy … now the problem is that the bear feels that you were trying to secret them, and that means they are going to feel the danger,” he said.
Lesson for next time
Mah and Arnson said that they realized, in retrospect, they were very calm on the footpath.
“We were just enjoying nature and, yes, we were not talking a lot, or loudly,” Arnson said.
The couple also said that they would not be caught again without a bear spray.
He felt that the Troll Falls Traile is usually so popular with the hikers that a bear encounter was less likely, but now realizes that there is no reason to not be ready.
They hope that sharing their story will help others to be safe in the bear country, and will help avoid similar encounters.
“This is right on the way with you, and no one else is around, and there is no way to protect yourself – you just feel so weak,” Arnson said.
“I thought we could die. I was just moving later.”
