Toyota remembering more than 32,700 vehicles in Canada on rearview camera defect

Transport Canada said in a notice last week that Toyota is remembering 32,733 vehicles in Canada due to a rearview camera defect, which increases the risk of accidents.

Transport Canada said in a notice last week that Toyota is remembering 32,733 vehicles in Canada due to a rearview camera defect, which increases the risk of accidents.

A problem with the rearview camera may be the reason for not displaying the image correctly or at all, and the Canadian rules need to be displayed when a car is in reverse, As per notice,

The notice said, “A rearview camera image that does not display correctly can reduce the driver’s ability to look back of the vehicle. This may increase the risk of accident.”

Recalls include all the Sequia models from 2023 to 2025 and all Tundra models (including hybrids) from 2022 to 2025. Recall affects vehicles with only 14 -inch multimedia display.

The automaker will inform the vehicle owners in writing whether their car is affected, but the driver can also check Toyota Remember database To see if their vehicle is part of recall.

Vehicle owners with a back -called model can take your car to Toyota dealership to update their multimedia display software.
