Youth Festival at Gadvasu Celebrates Artistic Talents with Rangoli and Clay Competitions | Ludhiana News

Ludhiana: Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (Gadvasu) was abuzz with creativity on Wednesday as the third day of the ongoing youth festival featured rangoli making, clay modelling, and installation competitions.
Students from the College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy and Food Science Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Science College, Rampura Phul, Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani, and the affiliated Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar, participated with great enthusiasm.
Vikas Kumar, IRS, principal commissioner GST, was the guest of honour. He said that such competitions evoke nostalgic feelings and refresh youthful memories, encouraging students to develop artistic skills for a fulfilling life. Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, vice-chancellor, admired the students’ creations, noting that despite their science backgrounds, their artistic talents rival those of arts students.
Dr APS Brar, the organising secretary, said that the theme for rangoli making was ‘greh parvesh,’ while clay modelling focused on ‘mother and child.’
Dr Nidhi Sharma, welfare officer, announced that on Nov 28 (Thursday), creative writing will begin at 9:00 am, followed by extempore at 10:30 am, and the debate competition at 2:00 pm at the Silver Jubilee Auditorium. The festival continues to showcase the vibrant spirit and diverse talents of the students.
