It is celebration time for India and the Indian cricket team, as the nation has turned victorious against Australia on Monday, the first Test of a five-match series at Perth. By setting a target of 534 runs, and bowling out Australia at 238, the Indian team led by Jasprit Bumrah showed an impressive game on the field. Everyone is sending out their congratulations to the team and praising their hard work. One of Bollywood’s mega stars Amitabh Bachchan has also taken to his social media handle to celebrate India’s victory. However, he took a jab at the allegedly ‘ biased commentary’ during the match along with his warm greeting.
Everyone knows that Amitabh Bachchan is a huge cricket fan; thus, he took to his Tumblr blog to express his contentment over India’s win. At the same time, he noticed that the commentary during the match allegedly undermined India’s medium pacers, so without taking any name he took a dig at the same and wrote – “Bias commentary के बावजूद, ठोक दिया Australia को cricket में (Despite the bias in commentary, Team India thrashed Australia in cricket),” he wrote.
Further, in the same blog post, Big B congratulated his son Abhishek Bachchan’s team Jaipur Pink Panthers, as they won their match against Puneri Paltan in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11.
The ‘Pink’ star mentioned – “Jaipur Pink Panthers ने हरा दिया Puneri Paltan को, जो की एक बहुत ही, एक बहुत ही सक्षम और ज़ोरदार Team टीम है पुणे की (The Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated Puneri Paltan, a very capable and formidable Pune team).”
Meanwhile, on the cinematic front, Amitabh Bachchan recently appeared in ‘Vettaiyan.’ The movie reunited him with Rajinikanth after three decades. Next on his plate is ‘Section 84,’ directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. It is a courtroom drama that is expected to keep the audience glued to their seats.
